Poshtova ploshcha – one of the oldest and most famous squares of the city of Kiev. According to archaeological research, trade took place here in IV century. Under the current name is a place known since the first half of the XVIII century. In 1970 the area was rebuilt and expanded dramatically. Another renovation was carried out in 2014-15. After the opening of a new modern light-musical fountain in the center of the square, this place has been attracting more residents and tourists. While in the winter, and especially during the holidays, Poshtova ploshcha is still not as attendance, as, say, in the summer.
